OK. Now as far as I can tell the reason we race is for the competition, fun, and overall good time. Now for me there is nothing more frustrating than to have a guy show up in a truck, say it is stock, then line up against me and my truly stock truck and have him rip my doors off. afterwards you find out that the truck should have been put in the modified class. Now don't get me wrong, I know mistakes happen on the part of the tecks, and yes some are due to the fact that tech is not sure, or they want there buddies to get in a lower class, but that is rare. What I usually see is the driver trying to sneak something past the tecks. And unfortunately, that's not rare. I feel that Dwayne has done a very good job in trying to make the races fare for all classes. As far as the weight reduction thing goes, In my opinion if you are removing weight from the vehicle to make it faster, then you have modified the truck ,end of story. So, if all your trying to do is get into a lower class, then put on smaller tires, put the "Stock" intake back on, the "Stock"exhaust manifolds, hook the "stock" ignition back up, or any other performance mod on you rig and you will be there no problem. Running you truck in a lower class than it should be is not really racing. It is just being a poser.
There is one way to class vehicles that can get around all the B.S. that is to class the vehicles by power at the rear wheels to weight with the driver. That would get around all of the "How many Mod" issues. All it would take is a set of scales and a dyno. But since that wont happen I guess it is going to stay they way each track does it. Which is fine if the racers quit trying to bend the rules, and race in the class that they belong in. Heck you might even try to race is the next class up.

that is what i already do run one class up trying to figure what class this truck is going to be in with the way it is if it's got to many points ill just put the bottle in it and run in open but it would be nice to have some type of idea to what class it would be in

well when you have been teched it too 3 different classes without changing anything on my truck im normally in stock class but have been teched into road trail and open at newport one year just for having open pipes and a 10 in tall air cleaner on my stock truck so when ever the tech thing gets straightened out maybe ill sink all my hard earned cash into a faster truck but why do that when no one can figure how their gonna set -up a tech sheet expesially if their wanting one standardized tech sheet for all the nw races im building a super mod rig but if im gonna be over that class im gonna get anos fogger set=up and run that class but kinda hard to install a fogger setup at the track so ontill this later

you know... i represent ONE track. not the pacific northwest. there are others on here that represent other tracks.
Maybe through your ranting, you didnt see that. Take a minute and figure out that youre pissing off all the promoters that work their butts off to put a race on just to listen to people bit*h about tech.
I race for fun. If you come to my racetrack, you should have fun. if you think you are gonna make a mint racing, get a go-kart, theyre cheaper.
I have had my truck teched in classes where i did not like it. did I complain? no.
Why didnt i complain? because I didnt make the rules, and there were other trucks just like mine in my class, so it was even.
build your truck if you have the balls to race in the class. if you dont, then go get a honda and play with the ricer boys.
im tired of trying to assist you, you dont want to listen, you just want to whine.

dwayne, you and the other promoters around the nw work really hard putting these races together deserve thanks. not a bunch complaining i always make sure i walk up and thank the promoters before i leave. thats the right thing to do. the tech sheets are closer then most people think. i get teched in super mod at every race i go to. thats the class i built it for, imagine that. my wifes truck gets road and trail every time just as it was built for. the tech sheets overlap enough to build a rig to run the same class at most of the races. anyways, thank you for all your hard work and i look forward to your event agian.
